The WT strain 1912768R and in-frame deletion ΔrpoS mutant were exposed to 3 M NaCl solution (A), 175 mM acetic acid (B), 50°C (C) and 120 mM H₂O₂ (D). The survival percentage was obtained by dividing the surviving population by the initial population, which corresponded to 100%. Data are mean and SD of three independent experiments.
