Predicted spin (τs) and momentum (τm) relaxation times for a MoS2 and b MoSe2 with carrier concentrations of 5.2 × 1012 cm−2 and 5.0 × 1011 cm−2, respectively (compared to experiments3841). “Intra” and “inter” denote intravalley (within K or K′) and intervalley (between K and K′) scattering contributions to the relaxation times; intravalley processes dominate spin relaxation at and below room temperature.
