The forest plot of whole grains intake and gastric risk. As shown in Fig. 4, eleven studies were included in the analysis whole grains intake and gastric cancer risk. The result showed that whole grains consumption reduced the risk of gastric cancer by 36% (RR = 0.64, 95% CI: 0.53–0.79, P < 0.001), with a significant heterogeneity (I2 = 78.2%, P = 0.001)
