Participants	Adults with acute cardiogenic shock
Interventions	Immediate venoarterial ECMO
Outcomes	Primary outcome Composite of death from any cause, resuscitated circulatory arrest and implantation of another mechanical circulatory support device (timeframe: 30 days) Secondary outcomes All‐cause mortality (timeframe: 30 days) All‐cause mortality (timeframe: 6 months) All‐cause mortality (timeframe: 12 months) Neurological outcome (according to Cerebral Performance Category scale) (timeframe: 30 days)
