PEMF reduces the degree of synovitis in the air pouch model. (a) The procedure of mice treated with PEMF in air pouch model. After LPS was used to induce inflammation in the air pouches, the experimental group was treated with PEMF and the lavage fluid was collected. (b) The levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in the lavage fluid were measured by ELISA. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA, and multiple comparisons were performed using Tukey's test. Error bars represent the mean ± SD of at least eight independent experiments. P < 0.05, ∗∗∗P < 0.001. (c) A small piece of the skin from the air pouches was sampled for H.E. staining. H.E. staining showed no significant change in the number of nucleated cells after PEMF treatment. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA, and multiple comparisons were performed using Tukey's test. Error bars represent the mean ± SD of four independent experiments. ∗∗P < 0.01. Scale bar: 100 μm.
