Flow diagram of the study participant through the study. At baseline, 45 patients were entered into the study. All the patients were evaluated at 4–6 weeks' time point. Four patients were lost to follow-up at 6-month post-injection while another six were lost to follow-up at the 12-month time point. One patient underwent surgical debridement of degenerative Achilles tendon tissue after the 6-month follow-up. Therefore, 34 of the 45 patients were analysed at the final (12 months) evaluation.
