TAF acts downstream of induction to block EBV lytic DNA replication. (A) HH514-16 cells were induced with 3 mM butyrate in the presence of drugs at the IC₉₅. Total protein was collected at 72 h and stained for the early viral antigen Ea-D or β-actin by Western blot. Results are shown from one experiment representative of three independent experiments. (B) HH514-16 cells were induced with 3 mM butyrate in the presence of drugs at the IC₉₅. Drugs were added at either 0 h or 24 h following butyrate addition, and the number of EBV copies per genome was quantified by qPCR. Results were analyzed from three independent experiments; each value shown. One-way ANOVA (P < 0.05) was followed by multiple hypothesis testing between butyrate and each condition at time 0 or 24 h.
