This is a 74-year-old man in the present study with stage IIIB adenocarcinoma of the right lower lobe lung who received (top) 60 Gy in 30 fractions with concurrent and consolidative carboplatin and paclitaxel. IMPT was delivered using 3 fields (posterior, lateral, and right posterior oblique). At 9 months after completion of IMPT, the patient demonstrated no evidence of new or progressive disease.
