(A) Real-time analyses of respiratory parameters in RPE cells under OGC and DIC inhibition with or without αB cry peptide treatment. (BE) Analysis of basal respiration, spare respiratory capacity, proton leak and ATP production, maximal respiration, and ATP production following OGC and DIC blockade in the presence or absence of αB cry peptide. A significant decrease in basal respiration was observed in DIC, and OGC inhibited cells along with a simultaneous decrease in ATP production. αB cry peptide co-treatment significantly increased mitochondrial respiration and ATP production.
