Effects of EPO on macrophage infiltration after IR injury. To verify macrophage infiltration, immunohistochemical staining of F4/80 was performed (A). F4/80-positive signals were found in the interstitial areas of kidneys after IR. Immunohistochemical staining of the inflammatory mediators ICAM-1 (B), and MCP-1 (C), was also examined.
