Lateral cortical augmentation. (A) The Elite-SPK contains 2 separated eyelets: a rear eyelet that remains externally on the lateral cortex of the humerus and a front, smaller eyelet through which sutures are initially loaded. Along the body of the device, 8 stabilizing flaps are attached to the main body; in combination with the wide supporting platform, these flaps have the function to provide optimal primary stability to the implant. Three sutures of different colors (1 white-and-blue suture, 1 white-and-green suture, and 1 tape) were passed. Before this step, to avoid any sliding of the sutures, 2 simple knots (arrows) were performed for each one, in the front part of the implant.
