The hemodynamic response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injection. The changes of mean arterial pressure (ΔMAP), portal pressure (ΔPP) and HR (ΔHR) were monitored for 120 min after LPS injection. The MAP dropped at first in both groups. After 60 min, MAP was compensated in the control group but remained low in the HFD group. The ΔMAP was significantly higher in control group at 120 min. The PP changed in the same trend. The heart rate (HR) was not significantly different between the two groups. The systemic vascular resistance (SVR) and superior mesenteric artery (SMA) resistance were significantly lower in the HFD group after LPS injection (HFD group, before LPS v.s. after LPS; t-test).
