Results of a 10 000 model evaluation run using the (quasi-)Monte Carlo simulation where the Hill coefficient n was a uniform random variate between 2 and 2.4, EC50 was given a uniform distribution of 0.4 to 0.6, and w was varied according to a uniform random distribution of 0.1 to 0.4. The two models being compared are the UQ results for the full model (a) versus the reduced model (b) based only on literature data from cardiovascular cells (PAAFs and CFBs) with accuracy using default parameters annotated. Inhibition results for α-SMA using the reduced model were run under the same conditions used to produce figure 2d (c). Results remained unchanged for the other outputs (collagen I, fibronectin, IL6) as seen in electronic supplementary material, S5.
