Effect of EGCG on histone deacetylase activity in (A) HUVECs, (B) HMEC-1. Cell were incubated by 16 h with 50, 100 or 200 µM of EGCG. For measurements of HDAC activity 20 µg of total cell extracts was used. The left panels present the kinetics of the reaction and the right one HDAC activity calculated according with the manufacturer’s guidelines. The data are presented as mean ± SD, n = 3; * p < 0.05, ≈ p < 0.01, # p < 0.01, control vs. treated, ANOVA and post hoc analysis by Tukey’s test.
