Contents of essential amino acids in culture supernatants of MUT strains. After the strains were grown in CDM-casein medium, the concentrations of amino acids in the culture supernatants were measured using a HPLC assay coupled with fluorescence detection. The samples of the wildtype correspond to the first two bars in each plot (A and B samples). Quantifications were performed in duplicates, and average values are shown. Error is shown as SD.
