Depletion of angiopoietin‐like 4 (ANGPTL4) inhibits prostaglandin E₂ (PGE₂)‐induced expression of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition markers. FaDu cells were transfected with 20 nmol/L ANGPTL4 siRNA oligonucleotides (siANGPTL4) by lipofection and then treated with 20 μmol/L PGE₂. mRNA expression of ANGPTL4, N‐cadherin, fibronectin, Snail, Slug, Twist, vimentin, and MMPs was analyzed by real‐time quantitative PCR.
