Angiopoietin‐like 4 (ANGPTL4) mediates prostaglandin E₂ (PGE₂) priming for tumor dissemination to lungs. FaDu cells were transfected with 20 nmol/L ANGPTL4 siRNA oligonucleotides (siANGPTL4) by lipofection for 24 h and then treated with 20 μmol/L PGE₂ for 3 h. Lung colonization analysis was carried out by injecting 2 × 10⁵ cells into a lateral tail vein of mice. Nodules were examined and photographed at 2 mo. Arrows indicate metastatic nodules. Images of tumors (A) and numbers of nodules (B) were examined using H&E staining and counted under a microscope, respectively.
