Males and females were found to have an insignificant association with mechanism of injury (p-value = 0.43). Players <13 years of age were significantly more likely to have non-contact mechanism injuries, while players ≥ 13 years of age were more likely to have contact mechanism injuries (p-value = 0.000041).
