Three AcrAB-TolC structures were examined: one with an open conformation of the outer membrane channel, TolC,23 and two with a closed conformation of TolC.7 Each structure has three copies of AcrA in each of two distinct binding sites on the AcrB trimer, labeled site 1 and site 2, for a total of nine copies per site. Averages and standard deviations for each site are tabulated below.
