Effects of 48 h recovery from hyperoxic exposure in HO-1 KO and wild-type mice. Adult (7-12 wks) wild-type and HO-1 KO mice were continuously exposed to >95% O2 for 48 h followed by a return to room air for 48 h. Control mice remained in room air for 48 h. (a) Right lung/body weight ratios were calculated. Data (mean ± SD, n = 7 − 14) were analyzed by two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post hoc analysis (#p = 0.0204 vs HO-1 KO/room air).
