Surface plasmon resonance binding studies of cGMP and 8-NBD-cGMP to PfPKG 401–853 (PfD-catalytic domain) demonstrate similar binding kinetics. Direct binding assays were performed by capturing polyhistidine-tagged PfPKG 401–853 on a Ni-NTA sensor chip and injecting a dilution series of cGMP for 45 s (A) and 8-NBD-cGMP for 70 s (B), respectively. Rate and equilibrium binding constants are reported in Table S3. A Langmuir 1:1 model was applied for fitting.
