β-funaltrexamine alleviated neuronal cell death. Neuron/glia cultures were pretreated with vehicle or β-funaltrexamine (30 μM) for 30 min before being incubated with LPS (100 ng/mL)/IFN-γ (10 U/mL) for an additional 48 h. Cells were subjected to immunofluorescence staining with antibodies recognizing Microtubule-Associated Protein 2 (MAP-2), CD68, and Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). The cell nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342. Representative micrographs are shown. Bar = 60 μm (A). Quantitative numbers of immunopositivity are shown (B).
