“Tablet Readiness” screen assessment

Is the patient/in-room proxy alert and oriented? Is the patient/in-room proxy able to use their hands? (i.e. able to answer a FaceTime call?) Can the patient/in-room proxy see, hear and speak? (i.e. able to participate in a FaceTime call?) -OR- Is the device being used for compassionate/palliative use? For example, for a patient who is intubated, or dying, the device would allow family to spend time with this patient, even if the patient cannot interact.

N.B. To be considered “tablet ready”, a “yes” response to all questions was required, although the patient's anxiety level and behavioral issues were also taken into consideration.
