Signal peptide score, also known as D (discrimination) score, is the value used to distinguish proteins with signal peptides from proteins with no signal peptides.
Cleavage score, or C‐score (cleavage), is the value that is used to determine whether a signal peptide is processed by the host cell and removed in the mature protein.
