Table 4B. Hippocampal volumes at baseline and at repeat scan (baseline + 5.8 years) for subjects classified using the diagnosis current at the time of the repeat scan (69 normal controls, 8 MCI and 7 AD). Six of the 7 patients diagnosed with AD at the repeat scan were diagnosed with MCI at baseline; all MCI patients at the repeat scan were normal at baseline. Age, interscan interval, education, gender, gender by diagnosis interaction, and total GM volume were not significant between subjects. Only the time by diagnosis interaction was significant within subjects.
