The genes were chosen from the Alzgene (www.alzgene.org) top results ranking. Alzgene only includes findings from meta-analyses with p<0.00001 and all results are assessed for their epidemiological credibility. Please note that due to LD the p-values for APOE and TOMM40 are not independent.
