☆ Antenatal care: Mothers receiving proper ANC visits (4 visits or more) during pregnancy by skilled/trained providers at health facility and/or trained Raedat at home or as outreach by trained nurses. Natal care: All deliveries by a skilled/trained physicians or nurses or birth attendant either at institutional hospital or at home. Postnatal care: Proper care of the mother and baby in the first 6 weeks (40 days) after childbirth by skilled/trained providers at health facility or at home. First postnatal contact should be as early as possible within 24 h of birth and at least three additional postnatal contacts are recommended for all mothers and newborns, on day 3 (48–72 h) and between days 7–14 after birth, and 6 weeks after birth [5].
