Standard mycological diagnostics (I) require analysis with biochemical tests. As a result, the entire diagnostic process can last 4-10 days. In our computer-aided approach (II), biochemical tests are replaced with a machine learning approach that predicts fungi species based only on microscopic images. It shortens the diagnosis by 2-3 days.
