MCPIP1 and p21 protein levels are increased in HIC. The MCPIP1 and p21 proteins expression in PBMC a and CD4⁺ T cells b from HIV-negative and HIV controllers, was determined by western blot. The quantified MCPIP1 and p21 protein expression levels were normalized with β-actin protein levels and immunoblotting bands were quantified with ImageJ64 software.
