Calculated I–V curves of a superconducting microstrip with width w = 50ξ_c at T = 0.8T_c for B = 0.02 B₀ (a) and B = 0.05 B₀ (b). The insets show snapshots of the superconducting order parameter ∣Δ∣ at different current values, as indicated. For the studied system, the parameter $B_0={\mathrm{\Phi }}_0/\left(2\pi {\xi }_{\mathrm{c}}^2\right)\simeq 4.9$ T, where ${\xi }_{\mathrm{c}}=\sqrt{1.76}\xi \left(0\right)=8.2$ nm. The electric field is measured in units of E₀ = k_BT_c/(2eξ_c) and the current in units of I_dep.
