Correlations between the stationary-state probability function PN and the ligand potency EC50 represented by the concentration stimulating half-maximal IFNγ secretion. Regression analysis yields a coefficient of correlation R2 equal to 0.64 and a p-value of 1.2 × 10−4. The ligand potency EC50 and kinetic parameters kon and koff used to evaluate PN are taken from (32). Corresponding error bars are shown for EC50. A vertical dashed line separates the data into two different groups: self-peptides (large EC50) and foreign peptides (small EC50).
