Activity of cymopol-containing NP extract in the DSS model. NP extract (2.0 g/kg) significantly reduced DSS-induced inflammatory marker Lipocalin 2 (Lcn-2) (right, n = 7, DMSO and n = 6 for extract), while there was a trend that NP extract also reduced the baseline level (left, n = 3 for both groups). For DSS treatment ** indicates p-value < 0.0012 using the Mann-Whitney, unpaired t-test.
