Characteristics of the LS counting sources for the first LS trial in terms of preparation details. Each series consisted of three replicate sources. The three series include variations in mass of the SRM aliquot (affecting UO2+2 ion content and color) and the aqueous fraction faq. The aqueous part of faq consisted of a nominal 1 mol L−1 HNO3 in all cases. The values for the masses and faq are averages for the three sources in the series. Each cocktail also contained approximately 60 mg of the HDEHP complexing agent.
