Name of the Test	Formula	Description
Direct Tension Test	$f_{\mathit{DT}}=\frac{P}{\mathit{bt}}$	where $f_{DT}$ is the direct tension strength, $P$ is the maximum load, $b$ is the width and $t$ is the thickness of the critical cross section of the specimen.
Splitting Test	$f_{\mathit{SP}}=\frac{2P}{\pi \mathit{ld}}$	where $f_{SP}$ is the splitting tensile strength, $l$ is the length and $d$ is the diameter of the cylinder specimen.
Flexural Test	$R=\frac{\mathit{PL}}{{\mathit{bd}}^2}$	where $R$ is the modulus of rupture, $L$ is the span length of the specimen, $b$ is the width and $d$ is the depth of the specimen, equals to $\frac{L}{3}$.
