Table 2.

LDC–PLC permeation tests from films through porcine buccal mucosa.

LA Film Flux (µg cm−2 h−1) Paap (cm h−1) × 10–3 Lag time (h)
Lidocaine PCT/LDC–PLC 56.53 ± 13.63 2.26 ± 0.55 1.82 ± 1.06

Steady-state flux (µg cm−2 h−1), apparent permeability coefficient (Paap; cm.h-1 × 10–3) and lag time (h) were quantified by HPLC. Data are mean (± SD), n = 6 (p < 0.05, t test). Each parameter was evaluated separately for each anesthetic.

t test. *Indicate significant statistical difference (p < 0.05) between control and hybrid batches.
