This figure shows a high level of SARS-CoV-2 genome folding via complementarity of particular RNA regions and forming of hairpins and/or cruciforms. RNA fold prediction was carried out using default parameters via Galaxy webserver (Afgan et al., 2018), which enables queries of lengths longer than 10,000 nucleotides.
