A. culbertsoni induces necrosis but not apoptosis on Schwann cells (SC). (D) SC control do not show stained nuclei with propidium iodide. (E) Red-stained nuclei begin to appear (arrows) after 1 h of interaction with A. culbertsoni trophozoites.
