Figure 3.

Figure 3

FGF2 and anosmin-1 control OPC migration. (a) Histograms showing the proportion of Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells (OPCs) relative to the controls quantified in the presence or absence of FGF2 or anosmin-1 at different stages: E16, P0, P7, P15, and P60. ANOVA showed anosmin-1 had no effect on migration at E16 and P7 in contrast to other stages, while an effect of FGF2 was evident at all stages. (b) Histogram from the video time-lapse analysis representing the speed of migration at P0, P15, and P60 in the presence of either factor. (ce) Images show the manual tracking at the end of the video time-lapse recording for P0 OPCs, in control conditions (c) and in the presence of anosmin-1 (d) or FGF-2 (e). (fh) Analysis of the total distance migrated after 18 h in all conditions: P0 (f), P15 (g), and P60 (h). All experimental groups were analyzed with a Student´s t-test: * P < 0.05, ** P < 0.01, and *** P < 0.001.
