Cultivation was performed in minimal medium supplemented with 40 g·L−1 glucose as carbon source. 1 mM IPTG was added for induction of gene expression. Means and standard deviations of triplicate cultures determined after 48 h cultivation are depicted. Significance has been determined for NMA concentrations based on a two-sided unpaired Student’s t-test (*: p < 0.05; ns: not significant).
