Process of turning off a defibrillator
  • Doctor uses a programmer device, which allows communication with your device.

  • Programmer device is used to make adjustments to the device, including turning off the shocking functions.

  • Often performed as an outpatient in your clinic’s office

  • A painless procedure that does not require surgery.

  • Turning it off will not cause you to die immediately.

  • Can be turned back on at any time.
