In this paper we investigate whether clomiphene citrate (CC) treatment affect the biosynthesis and metabolism of both sexual hormones and glucocorticoid in functional obese hypogonadal men, considering the presence of both LH and estrogen receptors on both the gonadal and adrenal glands. CC treatment in functional male hypogonadism has been shown to increase endogenous serum T and estrogen levels by stimulating Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) secretion from hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
