Quantification of the abundance of markers of interest on Iba1-positive cells. Iba1-positive cells were manually counted in the human middle temporal gyrus and the proportion immunoreactive for MOIs P2RY12, TMEM119, HLA-DR, CD74, CD206, CD32, CD163, or L-Ferritin was determined. The number of MOI-positive cells were normalized to the total number of Iba1-positive cells, and the percentages of MOI-positive cells in GM and WM were compared using paired t-tests. Data presented with each case represented by a single point and the percentages measured in GM and WM are joined per case (n = 6). Significant difference between GM and WM: *p < 0.05.
