Consensus best match was reported if the same best matching spectrum was observed for at least half of the replicate spectra (six for cell smears, four for cell extracts). The log score represents the average of log scores corresponding to the best matching spectrum. The identification of the best matching spectrum was accepted in case of a log score ≥2.0 and when a 0.200 log difference was observed between the best matching spectrum and the highest-scoring spectrum of a different species.
