Effects of SAL and/or CEL on NF-κB transcriptional activity and the levels of Bcl-2 and Akt in Panc-1 cells. (A) Panc-1 cells were transfected with an NF-κB-luciferase construct using Lipofectamine 2000 (LF2000, Invitrogen Life Technology). The cells were treated with SAL alone or in combination with CEL for 24 h. Luciferase activity was determined using a luciferase assay kit (E1500, Promega). Each value represents the mean ± S.E. from three separate experiments. (B) Panc-1 cells were treated with SAL alone or in combination with CEL for 24 h. The levels of Bcl-2, Akt, and phospho-Akt (pAkt) were determined by western blot analysis.
