Bare platinum coils (BPC)-treated aneurysms at 30, 90, and 180 days. Central regions exhibit increased cellular infiltration (mostly of macrophages, but some acute inflammatory reaction) into a fibrin extracellular matrix at 30 days. At 90 days, the extracellular matrix is mostly a collagen matrix, which transitions to a slightly more dense matrix at 180 days.
