Survival of 4th instar T. castaneum larvae following injection with different dosages of PAMAM-CNTs (10–200 µg/mL) or control solution. Mortality was monitored every 24 h following microinjection. At 72 and 96 h post-injection, there was significantly increased mortality in groups injected with 200 µg/mL PAMAM-CNTs relative to controls (72 h, P = 0.029; 96 h, P = 0.008). No other dosages significantly impacted the survival of T. castaneum over the observed period. Data are means ± SEM. Three replicate groups per treatment (n = 9–13 larvae each).
