Systolic blood pressure of Wistar (n = 8 per group) and Sprague-Dawley (n = 11 per group) rats fed on diets with different sodium contents. Blood pressure measurement was performed on vigil animals with a non-invasive tail-cuff blood pressure monitor. LSD (low-salt diet), a sodium-free diet for 4 weeks (< 0.1% salt); HSD (high-salt diet), a diet with 8.0% salt for 4 weeks. Student’s t test was performed.
