Methods RCT. Children from 7 CF centres.
Participants Children (aged 2 ‐ 6 years) with CF and pancreatic insufficiency.
Interventions Behavioural and nutritional treatment versus an attention control group (CTL). Treatments occurred weekly for 8 weeks and then monthly for 4 months. Participants returned to standard care and a 12‐month follow up was conducted.
CTL provided education and served as a behavioural placebo.
Outcomes Daily energy intake (7‐day, weighed diet diaries) and weight for age z score change from baseline to post‐treatment (6 months) and height for age z score change from baseline to follow up (18 months).
