Investigating the effect of cell culture media volume and gas environment on the uptake efficiency. (A) Different media volume was placed in the petri dish during the overnight cell incubation. (B) Petri dish was sealed with the parafilm to alter the gaseous exchange between the petri dish and the incubator. (C) Difference in FND uptake in cells cultured in petri dishes placed in the incubator maintained at 5 and 15% CO₂ overnight. (D) Comparing the uptake of cells cultured in the microfluidic device made out of PDMS against the uptake in cells cultured in the petri dish and channel made out of plastic.
