Glycoside hydrolases disperse P. aeruginosa and S. aureus biofilms in a wound microcosm model. Biofilms were grown for 48 h then treated with PBS (vehicle control), 2.5% amylase, 2.5% cellulase, or 5% GH containing both enzymes for 1 h. Percent dispersal was calculated as follows: (CFU in supernatant/ CFU in supernatant + CFU in biofilm). Two-way ANOVA was used to determine significance comparing enzyme to PBS #P < 0.05; ####P < 0.0001, or mono- to dual species biofilm *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01; ****P < 0.0001; n = 5.
